The Blessing top the charts!
Bristol's hottest post-jazz rockers The Blessing topped the album charts on worldwide music download site emusic.com earlier this week with their amazing debut CD on Cake Records, All Is Yes.
The album has been garnering some great and well-deserved feed-back - The Independent on Sunday joyfully hailed the group's debut, saying "At last, a noisy, thrashy post-jazz combo that sounds like a proper band," the BBC Music Magazine calling them "gloriously powerful...fresher than most bands around...earning a five star benediction for sheer exuberance." The Times followed suit, calling their album launch gig at Islington's Carling Bar Academy "seamless and startling...an experience to be savoured."
The Blessing will be announcing further live shows, including festival dates, in a new tour for the summer of 2008 - if you didn't get the chance to catch them before, then watch this space...
