Charlatans @ Sheps Bush Empire - 6.11.07
7 November, 2007 - 13:23 — Jonny
Always been into this band because of my brother constantly playing their records, but only seen them once while supporting Oasis at Finsbury Park in 2002 - not quite the same when it's not your own show.
They took to the stage at 9:15 opening with "Wierdo", then playing a few new songs which went down quite well, while also in the space of 30 minutes playing indie hits "How High", "Love is the Key", "The Only One I Know" and "One to Another". Tim Burgess was on top form, as was the rest of the band; a tight and well-rehearsed performance and a good atmosphere to an almost full Shepherd's Bush Empire. At the after-show party there was enough hair to fill up an entire wig shop...
Good gig.
